When registering at university I signed terms and conditions which outlined tuition fee information. Does this provide any guarantee for future years?

Our terms and conditions, which are accepted at the point of initial registration when you start at Surrey and annually as part of re-registration, allow for inflationary rises in fees.

Also, each academic year upon re-registration, students are required to read and accept the new academic year’s terms and conditions. The new academic year’s terms and conditions replace all previous terms and conditions between you and the University (including those you agreed to when accepting the University’s offer).

For the 2025-26 academic year, the terms and conditions noted the following with regard to undergraduate home student tuition fees:

Tuition fee increases for undergraduate home students are subject to regulatory control by the UK Government. For the avoidance of doubt, Home Island (Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey) students shall pay the same amount of tuition fees as home fee status students.
