How do I find accommodation abroad and after studying or working abroad?

Some hosting universities and organisations will offer onsite accommodation, but you may be required to source this yourself. The host universities should generally be expected to give you guidance on accommodation options. 

Accommodation at Surrey after your time abroad

If you spend the first semester of your second year abroad you can apply for university managed accommodation for your second semester at Surrey. It is not guaranteed but you will be considered for a room. You will have to apply before you even go abroad, at the same time as those who will be taking a room from September. Please ensure that you specify in your application that you require the room for the second semester only.

If you are abroad for a full year then you will be treated the same as all other students who are returning from placement for final year accommodation.
