How do I manage the junk folder within my Outlook Web App (OWA)?
The junk email filter evaluates each incoming message to assess whether it might be spam, based on several factors. The Outlook junk email filter does not stop delivery of junk email message but moves suspected spam to the 'Junk Email' folder.
Any message that is suspected to be junk is moved to the Junk Email folder.
You can manage your Junk mail settings from within your Outlook account. In the top right hand side of your Outlook screen (from your Inbox page), you should see a ‘Settings’ cog icon. Click on this and you should see ‘Junk email’ listed. From here you can manage your Junk mail settings and be able to add senders to a safe senders list, or block individual senders and domains. It would still be wise to check your junk folder from time to time "just in case", or if an expected email doesn't seem to have arrived.
NOTE: We recommend you do not use the Never Block Sender's Domain feature for email from large service provider domains, such as hotmail.com. This is because they cannot be treated as email from a single organisation.
