If I applied for extenuating circumstances, can I still attend the assessment event or submit coursework that is covered by the requested extension period?
If you applied for extenuating circumstances but later decided that you are fit enough to sit/submit the assessment, you must withdraw your application prior to taking or submitting that assessment.
Self-certified applications that have been either already approved by the University or are still pending the decision outcome, cannot be withdrawn after the start of the assessment event/submission deadline. If you did not withdraw your self-certified application for extenuating circumstances and submitted your work, it will not be marked.
Similarly, if you applied for extenuating circumstances with supporting evidence and this request has already been approved by the University, you must withdraw your application prior to the assessment event/coursework deadline if you would like to submit your work for that assessment and for it to be marked.
