Our cooker hobs have no power
A safety device called a StoveGuard is fitted in kitchens to stop any fires occurring on top of the cooker. When the temperature reaches a certain heat, or the atmosphere smoke carbon rate reaches the device it will activate and cut off the power to the hobs. Wait a while and reset the device by pushing the button. Remember to never leave any cooking unattended.
However, if the problem continues, please report it via the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk system. You need to make sure that you are connected to the University Wi-Fi and that you are using Microsoft Edge instead of Google Chrome (if you do not do this the website link will not work).
