What is the loud beeping noise coming from the kitchen door

There are fire safety door guard devices installed on each flat's kitchen fire doors and these will beep if the door is left open for a prolonged period.

There is no need to log a fault, simply close the door and after a few seconds the beeping will stop.

If the noise persists, we ask that you log a fault. Make a request online or call +44 (0) 1483 689230 (ext. 9230) between the working hours of 7 am and 6 pm. If you are logging a request online, need to make sure that you are connected to the University Wi-Fi and that you are using Microsoft Edge instead of Google Chrome (if you do not do this the website link will not work).
