What is the Turing Scheme?
The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s global programme to study and work abroad. The scheme provides funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world. The Turing Scheme provides grants which do not need to be paid back by students. Turing funding is awarded to universities annually for projects running between 1 September to 31 August. Surrey applies for funding in Spring and the outcome is received in the summer.
Grant availability is dependent on the outcome of Surrey's application for funding. Students must apply for a grant and any funding awarded will prioritise students who meet certain financially disadvantaged criteria. For the latest information for each Turing project year, please see SurreyAbroad.
