I have completed my course but not yet received my final marks, can the university provide a completion of studies letter?

If you have completed your assessments but not yet received your final marks or award, we can only provide a Confirmation of Submission letter. This will confirm that you have completed all units of assessment required by your course. You can use this for job applications where your potential employer may need confirmation that you have completed your assessments. The letter will make it clear that your final marks have not yet been released and your award is pending, but that you have submitted your assignments.

If you would like to request a Confirmation of Submission letter, please contact the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support and select “My Course” as your enquiry topic. Please clearly state that you would like to request a "Confirmation of Submission" letter.

Please note that the Confirmation of Submission letter can only be issued once your official course end date has been reached. If you need to check your course end date, you can do this yourself by generating a Confirmation of Registration letter. This will confirm your course end date and therefore the earliest date from which you can request a Confirmation of Submission letter.

The university does not provide a completion of studies letter. We cannot confirm that you have completed your studies until your final grades have been confirmed and you have passed all of your modules. Once you have successfully completed your course and received your final grades, you will be able to access your final HEAR transcript certificate via Gradintel which will confirm that you have been awarded and the degree that you have obtained.
