I have completed my course but not yet received my final marks, can the university provide a completion of studies letter?

The university does not provide a completion of studies letter. We cannot confirm that you have completed your studies until your final grades have been confirmed and you have passed all of your modules. Once you have successfully completed your course and received your final grades, you will be able to access your final HEAR transcript certificate via Gradintel which will confirm that you have been awarded and the degree that you have obtained.

In the meantime, if you need to provide proof of your working rights to an employer, you may use the “Student Information for Employment Purposes” or “Information for Employers” letters available on Surrey Support University Letters and Exam Slip · Customer Self-Service.

In those circumstances where you are applying for further study and need to demonstrate that you have completed your course (prior to receiving your award), you can request the “Highly Likely to Complete” letter. You will need to provide evidence that a third party has requested this information as part of your application for further study. If you have this evidence, you can contact the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support and select “My Course” as your enquiry topic to request the letter. Please remember to upload the evidence to the request.
