When can I start looking for a Professional Training placement?

The placement adverts on Surrey Pathfinder will become available to you from the beginning of September, just prior to the second year of your undergraduate course. Many companies will be advertising in the Autumn, so in order to maximise your chances, we advise you to be ready to start making applications from September/October. There will be variations in timing for different sectors, so whilst it is important for those seeking roles in the finance sector to be active straight away, for a sector like hospitality, the majority of adverts will become available later in the cycle. Our advice remains the same for all students - do the groundwork and reflection over the summer to be ready to hit the ground running when your second year starts.
